Gold Rush 2013

We decided to drive to Dahlonega on Saturday for Gold Rush.  Trey and I went the year before we married, so it has been 7 years since I last went.  Hopefully, we will go more often now that the girls are getting bigger.

I was afraid Brooke would want to run around and ask for everything, but she was very good.  She sat in the stroller most of the time.  The girls rode ponies and Brooke played on some of the inflatables.

The only disappointment is that we were unable to stay for the parade.  It was starting to rain and we felt it would be best to head home.

Tailgate Party

A few weekends ago, our church decided to have a tailgate party on the lawn of the church.  We had a lot of fun.  They had a lot of games and activities for the kids.  Plus, some youth and college students helped to keep the kids entertained.  I did have to chase Anna Grace around some, but she was pretty good most of the time.  

Learning to write

Brooke has been writing her own name for awhile now.  Recently, she has begun writing the names of all her family members.  I still have to remind her how to write her sisters' names, but she remembers mom and dad.

Ink

Back in August, we took the girls to Ink in Gainesville.  Ink stands for interactive neighborhood for kids.  It has different rooms set up for kids to explore and role play.  Both girls had a blast.
