Seven years

Seven years ago in this date, Trey asked me to marry him.  Of course, I said yes.

We made plans to spend the day at Stone Mountain.  I was hopeful I would get a ring that day.  I was shocked when Trey asked on the train, though.

It has been an eventful seven years with lots of highs and some lows.  I thank God  for bringing us together.  I would not want to go through life with anyone else.

First day of Pre-K

My baby girl is growing up.  Today was Brooke's first day of Pre-K.

She is staying at her regular daycare for Pre-K, so it is not too big of a change for her.  However, she was very excited this morning and loves her backpack.

We have seen a lot of improvement in her behavior the last few months, so I know she is ready to be challenged.

The end of summer

Since Brooke starts Pre-K next week, this is officially our last weekend of the summer.  We had a pretty calm weekend, but did a few fun things.

Trey found out on Friday that a local bookstore was having a special Frozen night with a sing along, story time and crafts.  We decided to take the girls and let them dress up.  Unfortunately, the event was poorly planned and a little chaotic.  The overprotective parents did not help.  We let our girls get close to the stage.  Anna Grace started to get upset when all the parents crowded around her.  So she looked at books through most of the event.

After church on Sunday, we took the girls to the local splash pad for the first time this summer.  They had a great time.
