Disney 2014 Day 2: Hollywood Studios

We spent day 2 at Hollywood Studios.  I was afraid the girls would be tired and cranky, but they woke up happy and ready to go.  We had a breakfast reservation at Hollywood and Vine for 10:15.  We got to the park around 9:30 and walked around and took a few pictures.

Breakfast was a buffet and we met Jake, Sofia, Doc and Handy Mandy.  Anna did not want to be in any of the pictures, but she did not really act scared either.

After breakfast, we went to the Disney Junior Live show.  We then went to a character meet and greet with a couple of characters from Wreck it Ralph.

After that, we went to the Little Mermaid show.  I thought AG would love it because she loves Ariel, but she was scared during most of it.

Trey wanted to ride The Great Movie Ride which had a small wait. AG started acting scared while we waited in line, so I decided to skip the ride and walk around with her. Trey and the other girls really enjoyed it.

We then headed to Toy Story Mania to take advantage of our fast pass. It was great and we all loved it even AG.

Next, we went to the Honey, I shrunk the kids playground. We had never made it to this attraction on our previous visits.  The kids had a blast and it gave us a chance to sit and relax.

We made our way to Rock 'N Roller Coaster. Trey and I took turns riding it. While I was riding, Trey and the girls saw several characters including Genie, Mulan, Pluto, Pinocchio, Minnie Mouse, Pocohantas, and Snow White.

We watched The Beauty and the Beast show.  Again, AG was scared. But she fell asleep for a few minutes, so it wasn't too bad for her.

Since we had not eaten since breakfast, we ate an early dinner at ABC Commisary.  I had read some negative reviews, but thought it was pretty good.

By this time, it was getting close to heading to Fantasmic. I tried to convince Trey to leave and head back to our room, but he really wanted to stay. I had time to ride Rock 'N Roller Coaster one more time.

Fantasmic was more intense and scary than I remembered from last year, so AG was terrified.  She did good, though. She just buried her head in my chest most of the show.

By the time we got back to the room, it was time to get ready for bed.  The kids settled down and were asleep by 10.

Disney 2014 Day 1: Halloween Party

We were able to plan a trip to Disney to celebrate Brooke's 5th birthday.  We decided to leave Athens around 3pm on Monday so we'd be ready for our first park day on Tuesday.  We had tickets for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party and would be able to enter Magic Kingdom at 4pm.

We got up early and ate breakfast at our hotel and then did a little shopping.  We still had a lot of time to kill so we went to Downtown Disney to explore and eat lunch.

I really wanted to eat at Earl of Sandwhich, but it was on the other side of Downtown Disney.  We ended up eating at the bowling alley.  They had really good burgers and the girls enjoyed watching people bowl.  By the time we finished lunch, it was time to check in to our room at Art of Animation.

We had a suite at Art of Animation.  It was so nice to have the extra space.  We had two bathrooms and a separate bedroom.

Plenty of room for everyone.  The sofa had a bed and you could pull the Murphy bed down onto the table.  The girls took turns sleeping in each bed.

We got ready for the Halloween party and headed to the bus stop around 3:30.  The little girls dressed up as Anna from Frozen and Doc McStuffins.

We only had to wait a few minutes for the bus. It was crowded, but the girls loved it and were well behaved.

Our very first ride was the Jungle Cruise. About half way through the ride AG started acting scared and said she wanted to go home.  She did this on several other rides during the trip especially any loud or dark rides.  I'd usually just hold her and she'd be fine until the end of the ride/show.

Other attractions that night included: Haunted Mansion, Aladdin carpet ride, tea cups, it's a small world, people mover, carousel, Little Mermaid ride and meet and greet, Winnie the Pooh ride, and Cinderella and Rapunzel meet and greet.

In addition to the rides, we also watched the Halloween parade and fireworks.  Brooke also had a blast at the Villian's Dance Party.

We finally headed back to the bus around 11pm and the little girls fell asleep in the stroller.

Fun at the park

The girls love to visit the park.

Gymnastics

We signed Brooke up for gymnastics a couple of months ago.  She has been having fun and does pretty good.  She sometimes has an issue with listening, but I have seen improvements.
